Data requests
and deletion.

For MarkIT beta 0.3.9 and correspondence with Simon Knagg, trading as KnaggAppz.

Delete local MarkIT data

Use the beta’s marker or session deletion controls to remove individual items. Session deletion removes the session and its associated markers. To remove all local app data and preferences, open Android Settings → Apps → MarkIT → Storage → Clear storage/data. Device wording varies. Save any exports you want to keep first.

Disconnect Microsoft and remove cloud files

Use Sign out in MarkIT to remove its saved refresh token. To revoke Microsoft permissions, use your Microsoft account’s app-permission controls or contact your organisation administrator. Signing out does not delete your files.

Delete exported files separately from OneDrive or the location you chose when saving. Check recycle bins, version history, device backups and any organisation retention rules. Clearing MarkIT’s storage does not remove these copies.

Request access, correction or deletion from KnaggAppz

Email support@knagg.org.uk with “Privacy data request” as the subject. Say whether it concerns MarkIT or support correspondence and explain what you would like done. Use the email address associated with your earlier enquiry where possible.

Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents in your initial request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your request. Routine support emails are retained for up to 12 months after resolution, with longer retention only where needed for a dispute or legal obligation.

What KnaggAppz can delete

We can address information we hold, such as support correspondence. We cannot remotely erase data that is only on your device, in your OneDrive or with your backup provider. The inspected beta does not contain a separate KnaggAppz account-registration service; Microsoft account deletion is managed by Microsoft.

This contact link opens your email app and does not automatically delete data. See the MarkIT beta privacy policy for details.
